The service on this day was perfect with everything on time and I would have observed full marks (but on another occasion it was a bit of a let down).
We were celebrating our anniversary and I must admit we picked the right place. It was a pleasant evening with the highlight being - exquisite Moroccan food!
Discussing our order with the server, we couldn't resist gorging onto the awesomest hot bread rolls (the bread acts pricey to bake but are totally worth the wait) with harissa, pickled olives (the best I've had so far) and olive oil:
The Harira Soup was delectable and a perfect blend of flavours with the right consistency. The little one loved it and that means it's a hit! Seriously, I would totally recommend ordering it specially on a cold wintery night.
Batata Harra - literally meaning spiced potatoes were perfectly cooked and spiced just right garnished with coriander. It was a good dish and as a variation was a cold portion.
Samosa - stuffed with minced meat. Absolutely loved them. I'm a huge fan of samosas and it's very difficult to find good sized ones with enough filling and here was the answer!
Aubergine (can't remember the name) - this was a mashed spiced aubergine cold Mezzah and was just fine
Lamb Livers - a cold appetizer and my first time with livers in Arabic spices. It was a good dish but I would have liked it better if it were hot. Nonetheless, it was delectable.
The Mixed Couscous was a mighty fine dish with robust lamb chops and mutton with mixed vegetables on a mountain of couscous. Instead of feasting on a main course with rice or bread, enjoying it with couscous was a great change of palate. The meats were quite succulent and flavourful garnished with loads of raisins and sesame seeds.
For this hearty meal, we paid QR 170 for 2 persons (after using the entertainer voucher)
I would give it 4 out of 5.
