QIFF has made it more flexible this time around and no standing in queues for the coupons like the last year. You go to the restaurant stall and buy your choices using direct cash (thank God we are spared the back & forth and the service fee). Everything was organized well and divided into easy directional zones.
Food unites people is all I could think of at that point. I will let the photos do the talking for the sumptuous delights of this evening even though I couldn't manage to click every dish I gorged on to and then scroll below for the highlight of the day for me - Dinner in the sky.
My recommendations - visit St. Regis, LaSpiga/ Papermoon, Zaffran Café, La Cigale and lots more but the former were my favourite.
We were first presented with 3 beautiful savoury canapés with a mocktail while waiting at ground level for the Sky Dinner. After which we were assisted to our seat numbers pre booked at the time of purchase. While we advanced to move up, we had a bread basket to keep us from thinking about the elevation. Before analysing that the platform was suspended in the air at 50m height, our entrée was ready to be eaten - Smoked Burrata Cheese with a Buffalo Mozzarella Ball, Roasted Tomato and Kalamansi Vinaigrette followed by soft drinks of our choice. Next come the Churrasco Beef Tenderloin with Chimichurri Sauce and medley of baby vegetables. The dessert was a lavish Chocolate Sphere with Almond Pain de Genes, Salted Caramel and Chocolate Crumble (the taste still lingers in my mouth....yummmm).
Each dish plated right before us and at the perfect temperature. The icing on the cake was the pleasant climate as it had drizzled few hours back :D.
