Since this was an invite and we had an open end to ordering a la carte or go by the Chef’s recommendations, we chose the latter and let the Chef showcase the best of the new menu. While we waited for the our first course to start, we were served the Amuse Bouche which was a medley of the different states of India - dhokla, potato patty and seekh kebab. And if this is what an amuse bouche is at a restaurant, you can only think what the actual food would be! Super impressed!
Other soups on the table were Tamatar ka Shorba and Chicken Almond Soup; both of which were good as well. And, they had kid friendly cutlery too - brownie points there as always (Mum Hungry Birds talking).
Galauti Kebab is a double minced meat grilled till it achieves a melt in the mouth consistency and then carefully placed in the arms of a tawa paratha and it was served with rose syrup caviar at this stylish Indian boutique.
The ice creams were so smooth and what exotic flavours - Chocolate & Cardamom, Blueberry Kheer, Saffron & Pear.
I can only say one thing - I LOVE MY JOB
I would definitely give it a 4.5 out of 5.
Kudos to Chef Navin and Chef Manikandan along with their brilliant team for spoiling us silly and doing all those wonders in the kitchen as always.
P.S.: I just got to know a few days back that the Mall has a huge underground parking facility. So, park your cars and experience a true Indian delight right here in Doha.
